Feng Li

With the installation GREENHOUSE, Feng Li reflects on the contradiction between the growth cycle of plants and the exhibition cycle in the visual arts. A sculptural breeding ground travels in different forms along different exhibitions, while in between, the artist tries to keep the plants growing there alive. The fruits of the plants are offered to the public in the exhibition. Through its site-specific placement in front of a rosette in the church, the installation also raises pertinent questions about light, life and (inner) growth.
