Jasper Rigole

TEMPS MORT is a 16 mm film projection that is synchronised with a record player. The film shows a montage of fragments from the artist’s archive of found footage. They were created by their previous owners, filling their film rolls so that the films could be taken to the lab for development. These images, literally made to pass the time, are intriguing because they do not show the supposedly unique moments that make up the archive, but rather show an everyday and banal world that seems to be closer to reality.
